thoughts on real estateLet’s face it, we all want to look good.  We all want to succeed. What holds most people back is the fact that they are afraid to fail.

It’s really that simple.

I’ve failed in real estate.  Though not comparing myself to Michael Jordan he has one of the best perspectives of failure ever.

“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”   – Michael Jordan

Becoming a great real estate agent means failing over and over again until muscle memory begins to kick in and what works becomes natural and then one day, one day I promise, it all comes together and then failure happens less and less while success continues to become the norm.

No one has a free throw percentage of 100% over any length of time.

Don’t look at failure as an opportunity to quit but rather as an opportunity to learn.  What has worked?  What hasn’t?  Concentrate on the “what has” and learn to duplicate that experience.

By the way, this isn’t unique to real estate.  You’ve been through this process somewhere in your life.  Look at where you are successful. Examine how you got there. And now apply those principles to a career in real estate so that you can provide for you and your loved ones at whatever level you choose.
